Sharing knowledge and experience for regions and biodiversity
The conference ‘Regions for Biodiversity: achieving the Aichi targets’ aimed to provide discussions and contributions that will help pave the way to COP 13. ECNC’s QualityDestination Ambassador and Advisor for South-East Europe, Ms Ayşegül Çil, contributed to this international conference (30 June and 1 July 2016, Barcelona, Spain).
Healthy Seas full steam ahead!
The two groups of volunteer divers together with Healthy Seas partner, Pan Salvage, started in the 2016 diving season. They cleaned up several bottom sites of the shipwrecks and collected over 2.5 tons of discarded fishing gear.

Promotion of restoration in the context of the EU Biodiversity Strategy to 2020

The main aim of the workshop is to present the draft results of the study to an expert audience comprising stakeholders involved in or affected by restoration activities and to give the European Commission a better understanding of what is happening in relation to restoration activities.
